It’s the season of love… and the season of proposals.
If you just got engaged — congratulations. Truly.
Before you open 17 tabs, start a Pinterest board at 2am, and message every venue within a 50-mile radius… pause.
This season is about love — not logistics. Let’s begin the right way.
Put the phone down.
This chapter only happens once — the just-engaged glow, the butterflies, the quiet “we’re really doing this” smiles.
The emails, spreadsheets, and venue tours can wait a few days.
Celebrate.
Call your closest people.
Go to dinner.
Soak it in.
Planning will still be there on Monday.
Before “but I saw this on TikTok…”
Have the budget conversation first.
Ask yourselves:
Your budget determines the direction — not the other way around.
If parents or family members are contributing, have clear and separate conversations about expectations and boundaries. Trust us on this one.
These are your two anchor decisions.
A great planner is like renting a best friend:
Your venue and planner availability will shape your date, design possibilities, and overall flow. Secure these first — everything else builds from there.
Considering a private estate? Keep this in mind:
Private estates typically require bringing in almost everything — catering, rentals, power, restrooms, staffing, lighting, and transportation.
We recommend allocating no more than 20–25% of your total budget to the venue to maintain balance across the full experience.
The right estate can create magic.
But the numbers must support the vision.
Valentine’s Day can bring joy — and it can also bring disappointment.
Be gentle with yourself.
❤️ Do something kind for yourself
❤️ Take a walk, read a great book, take a class, or visit a spa
❤️ Learn how to be alone before being with someone else – my mother’s advice!
Wholeness isn’t created by a proposal. It’s built from within.
Whether you’re engaged, single, or somewhere in between — this season is about love in all its forms.
And that includes loving yourself.
